Guzzling down a pint after a training session has such a negative effect on our bodies.
Its not so much the average 300kcal per pint but the effect the alchol has on our bodies, this is what does the real damage.
Alcohol depletes the body of B vitamins which are vital for energy while slowing down the transport of nutrients in the bloodstream. This means you are not getting the full nutritional benefit of that highly nutritious post training meal you have with the alcohol.
Avoid this by dodging the pints or choosing weaker brews.
